Daniel Cinelli is a world-class recording and mixing engineer/producer with over 20 years of experience.

He has mixed and engineered over 25 Platinum and Gold albums.Far beyond one genre, his work includes albums or songs featuring Prince, Lauryn Hill, Justin Bieber, One Republic, MIKA, Colbie Callait, Elton John, Wyclef Jean, The Fugees, David Usher, Peter Murphy, Nikki Yanofsky, Bruno Pelletier, Sylvain Cossette, Corneille, Roch Voisine, Eric Lapointe, Shy’m, K’maro and The Cirque du Soleil, among many others.

Daniel has recorded and mixed albums with various producers and engineers including Quincy Jones, Phil Ramone, Ryan Tedder, Wyclef Jean, Lawrence Manchester, Tony Maserati, Rob Kleiner, Phil Tan, Harmony Samuels, Luc Plamondon, and Elliot Scheiner.

Daniel was awarded a Juno Award in 2007 for his mixing of The McDade’s album Bloom (Roots and Traditional Album of the Year (Group).
He was also twice nominated for ADISQ Awards for Sound Recording and Mix of the Year.

In addition, Daniel has contributed his Producing and Engineering/Mixing skills to several popular films and television shows such as Cheaper by the Dozen (20th Century Fox), The Prince of Persia (Walt Disney Pictures), Dawson’s Creek, Party of Five, Summerland, Felicty and She Drives Me Crazy. He is a 2-time Canadian Songwriting Competition winner.

In 2001, Daniel opened Planet Studios, an award winning, world-class recording studio located in the heart of Montreal. Some of the artists that have recorded at Planet Studios include Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Simple Plan, Win Butler, MIKA, Sam Roberts, David Usher and Youssou N’Dour as well as world class engineers such as Paul Northfield (Rush, Dream Theater), Tony Platt (AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Bob Marley), Ross Hogarth (The Doobie Brothers, Jewel), Godfrey Diamond (Lou Reed, Luther Vandross) and Brian Howes (Hedley, Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan)
